Green Gnomes was born from a simple belief: retrofit projects shouldn’t fail because of poor coordination.
Who We Are.
Green Gnomes was built to raise the standard in retrofit delivery.
We saw too many projects fall short because of poor coordination, rushed assessments, and a lack of trusted end-to-end support. Rather than accept this as normal, co-founders Dave and Anthony created a company that does things differently, combining technical expertise with genuine partnership to deliver compliant, high-quality work from the first assessment through to completion.
Today we work alongside local authorities and housing providers across England to deliver successful retrofit programmes. Our team is focused on creating warmer, healthier homes while helping our clients meet their net-zero targets with confidence, clarity, and lasting results.
Our Timeline.
2021
Green Gnomes was founded by Dave and Anthony in 2021 after seeing too many retrofit projects fall short through poor assessment, fragmented delivery and insufficient coordination. They believed there was a better way: technically robust work, honest advice and proper collaboration between everyone involved in improving a home.
2024
By 2024, demand had grown significantly. Green Gnomes expanded its team of experienced assessors, designers and coordinators while supporting multiple housing associations, local authorities and delivery partners across England. Hundreds of homes moved through assessment, design and installation as our role increasingly extended across the full retrofit journey.
2026
In 2026, Green Gnomes continued to grow its role in large-scale social housing retrofit, supporting multi-year programmes involving thousands of homes. We expanded our technical design capability, strengthened our digital systems and continued investing in the people, tools and processes needed to deliver retrofit efficiently at scale, without compromising technical quality.
2022
Following a series of successful smaller projects, Green Gnomes secured its first major contracts with local authorities and housing providers in 2022. The team began delivering end-to-end retrofit support, from detailed Retrofit Assessments through design and PAS 2035 coordination, establishing the foundations for larger-scale delivery.
2025
2025 marked another significant step in Green Gnomes' growth. We passed several major delivery milestones while being trusted to support our largest programmes to date. Our growing team and investment in technical systems allowed us to increase capacity without losing the quality and attention to detail on which the business was built.

Co-founder of Green Gnomes, Dave is an influential outcome driven and analytical business leader, consultant and advisor with a proven record of facilitating business growth. Dave has been in the energy efficiency industry for several years leading businesses from the front growing them from conception through to delivery of the services they provide whilst maintaining quality excellence.

Anthony has a meticulous eye for detail and has the knack to learn new things at a rapid pace. As our technical director it is his responsibility to keep abreast of the latest developments within the industry in order to develop tools and systems which have enabled us to become a market leader in the Retrofit industry.
