Green Gnomes was born from a simple belief: retrofit projects shouldn’t fail because of poor coordination.
Who We Are.
Green Gnomes was built to raise the standard in retrofit delivery.
We saw too many projects fall short because of poor coordination, rushed assessments, and a lack of trusted end-to-end support. Rather than accept this as normal, co-founders Dave and Anthony created a company that does things differently, combining technical expertise with genuine partnership to deliver compliant, high-quality work from the first assessment through to completion.
Today we work alongside local authorities and housing providers across England to deliver successful retrofit programmes. Our team is focused on creating warmer, healthier homes while helping our clients meet their net-zero targets with confidence, clarity, and lasting results.
Our Timeline.
2021
In 2021, Dave and Anthony founded Green Gnomes after seeing too many retrofit projects fall short due to poor coordination and rushed assessments. They set out to deliver trusted, high-quality end-to-end support that helps housing providers achieve compliant, lasting results for the homes and communities they serve.
2024
By 2024 demand had grown quickly. We expanded our team of qualified assessors and coordinators while successfully supporting multiple housing associations and local authority programmes. This period saw us complete hundreds of assessments and establish Green Gnomes as a trusted partner for compliant retrofit delivery.
2022
In 2022 we secured our first major contracts with local authorities and housing providers. Our small team began delivering full end-to-end retrofit support, from detailed PAS2035 assessments through to Trustmark-registered coordination, helping the first homes become warmer and more energy efficient.
2025
In 2025 we surpassed 1,000 homes retrofitted and 3,000 assessments completed. Our end-to-end service helped housing providers across England deliver successful, fully compliant programmes as they worked toward net-zero targets, cementing our reputation for quality and reliability.

Co-founder of Green Gnomes, Dave is an influential outcome driven and analytical business leader, consultant and advisor with a proven record of facilitating business growth. Dave has been in the energy efficiency industry for several years leading businesses from the front growing them from conception through to delivery of the services they provide whilst maintaining quality excellence.
Anthony Spurr
Technical Director | RCRM, RA, DEA, ABBE Level 3 EEOTD, CIOB UBC, IATS, OCDEA
Anthony has a meticulous eye for detail and has the knack to learn new things at a rapid pace. As our technical director it is his responsibility to keep abreast of the latest developments within the industry in order to develop tools and systems which have enabled us to become a market leader in the Retrofit industry.
